Here is a lovely video by my hypnobirthing friend Melanie. She also does a fabulous hypnobirthing course. Do look on my useful links tab for more information.

A great video about `pain' in labour
A great video about `pain' in labour
You may have been recommended an ECV by your birth team if you have a breech baby. This is a good video to explain how a ECV (External Cephalic Version) for breech position looks like. I would usually suggest seeing a chiropractor first. A chiropractor can align your pelvis which is often a reason why babies are breech. It is painless and more likely to work. An ECV doesn't address why the baby may be breech in the first place and should be a last resort, and may not be affective.

The Side Release - This video shows a very simple and easy technique to align your hips during pregnancy, as it can help baby to get into the best position for birth. It can also help during labour if your labour is not progressing.
Induction of labour: produced by midwives at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. It is very well explained and should answer most questions regarding inductions.
A video explaining the benefits of delayed cord clamping.
Animation of a Caesarean section - for those who would like to know what happens during the procedure, but a little less graphic than a real video.
The breast crawl. This is just to demonstrate that babies are born knowing how to find the breast. I rather feel that babies have worked so hard to be born and then they have to climb a mountain before they can feed! So I usually suggest that letting baby rest on Mum's chest, with lots of skin to skin, and we just wait until baby is ready to start searching. Allowing babies to suck their hands first for comfort (as they do in the womb), they will soon move their hands out of the way, and then start bobbing their heads around looking for the breast.
Here is a lovely video showing Baby-led Breastfeeding. The initial position of baby is vertical on your chest. This is like a 're-start' button position and if baby is getting fussy, anxious or sleepy, put baby back into the 're-start' position and it will 're-trigger' their brains to start feeding again.
A great video to demonstrate how to hand express colostrum. Can be really useful if you are having any initial problems with baby latching. Or if the breast is too full.

Here is: a link to a great video about how to calm your newborn baby - "The Happiest Baby on the Block" and the 5's. Here he mentions swaddling, sssshhhh-ing and lying on their side but there is also very gently jiggling baby and sucking (your finger or a dummy).
A short video which explains what is in breastmilk that is good for baby
This is a lovely video showing how to ensure that baby gets a good latch when breastfeeding.
